Overview

What makes this ring different from most cushion cut rings is the cut itself the Old Mine Cushion moissanite used here is not the same as a modern cushion brilliant. It has a higher crown, smaller table, and larger culet, which are all characteristics of how stones were cut by hand before machine precision existed. These proportions produce larger, slower flashes of light rather than the sharp and scattered sparkle of a modern brilliant, giving the stone a noticeably different look when worn in any lighting condition.

Stone color here sits just one step below colorless there is a very faint warmth to it rather than a visible tint, and that works in favor of the old mine cut because this particular cut already carries a softer, warmer light character by nature.
